Painting the interior of Sts. Peter & George Coptic Orthodox Church in Westlake, Ohio, was a profoundly rewarding commercial project that seamlessly paired high-reach logistics with restorative craftsmanship. Given the sanctuary’s soaring architecture, we had to utilize heavy-duty mechanical lifts inside the church to safely reach the massive vaulted ceilings. The primary structural challenge involved addressing historical water damage issues that threatened the aesthetic integrity of the worship area. High up in the lift baskets, our team first executed an intensive stain-blocking process, applying KILZ Restoration Interior Primer to completely seal out the stubborn, water-logged stains and prevent bleed-through. Once this advanced formula dried to a hard barrier, we rolled out a flawless, uniform finish coat across the entire vaulted expanse. Maximizing our time at maximum height, we also took the opportunity to clean the overhead ceiling fans and replace the high-altitude light bulbs throughout the main church areas. Maneuvering the large equipment around the parish's delicate interior required immense precision, turning a demanding restorative paint job into a highly coordinated team success. Ultimately, combining industrial lifts with premium sealants allowed us to eliminate old water damage entirely, leaving a pristine and completely refreshed environment for the congregation to gather in for years to come.
